turning TWO

at first glance you might think it's a young toddler turning two years old but then on closer inspection you realize he's just the guy who got wasted the night before and everybody drew on his face after he passed out.

With a nod from Rapha, you know it has to be good. For instance take this surprise when I found this in my junk email folder and saw the familiar corner on Mulholland that is no more than a mile from my house. I know those cracks, that rise in the pavement to the overlook tourists flock to and where Manson dumped the body of a Jane Doe over 38 years ago. It's nice to see Rapha has stuck around and brought some good taste and more to cycling beyond tacky Deadhead and Primal Wear jerseys.

Sugar Bowl + Squaw Valley = Big Ski

Have you ever been to Disney World? Tahoe has almost created something like it. I didn't even include any pics from the terrain parks because my ass was too sore to stop and take a picture.

If Los Angeles could figure out how to move people around town the same way Squaw Valley can move 23 people up a snowy mountain per Swiss-built Funitel (gondola) then the world would be a peaceful place. Squaw Valley is so big and so steep that they can't ski it out. They don't have quad-lifts, they have lifts that hold six people per chair with frequent views of the Lake in the distance. It's Disney World and it's more than I can handle. At least some dudes can still keep it real with a case of canned Budweiser and an off-brand bag of Cheetos.
